Stewardship
We are a group of Big Sur affiliated individuals and artists who are committed to the preservation and stewardship of Emile Norman’s home and body of work. In 2020 our Big Sur based nonprofit organization was founded to secure Emile’s home within Big Sur, to strengthen his legacy, and to carry out his stated intentions for supporting artists. We are now prepared to support the integrity of the Emile’s mission and shape it’s success into the future. We are moved by the astoundingly rare and beautiful opportunity Emile has left to our small community. We are proud to be fostering Emile’s intention of deepening the connection to this amazing natural environment, while inspiring meaningful creative work for a generation to come. The Board of Directors includes Heather Engen, Heather Chappellet, and Kim Stemler. There is also a large community-based advisory committee supporting ENAF’s efforts.
